Who we are
MedNote supports organisations to share clinical educational content with healthcare professionals in a CPD-accredited format.
We provide a simple compliant online pathway for participants to access the material, complete the assessment and have their CPD outcome recorded, without the need for a complex learning platform. In the MedNote system CPD points are submitted to the HPCSA and allocated directly to doctors, and certificates of completion are provided for pharmacists, nurses and other relevant health professionals.
What we do
MedNote helps organisations convert suitable clinical learning material into accessible compliant online CPD activities.
For each activity, healthcare professionals can:
- Access and review the learning material
- Enter their required professional details
- Complete a short quiz or assessment
- Have successful completion recorded for CPD purposes
MedNote handles all practical administration behind the scenes, including activity setup, quiz management, completion tracking, audit trail and CPD submission support where applicable.
Working closely with MediComm, MedNote offers a seamless end-to-end CPD solution. MediComm manages the scientific research, medical writing, MCQ development and accreditation process with the relevant bodies, while MedNote provides the online hosting platform for CPD content and assessments, from development through to CPD point allocation.
Completion data and analytics are available to activity sponsors, providing relevant insights into engagement and reach.

How it works

Access
the activity
Healthcare professionals receive a direct activity link from the relevant organisation, representative or MedNote-approved partner.

Review the
learning material
The link gives access to the approved clinical learning material, usually provided as a concise online PDF or similar resource.

Submit professional details
Participants provide the required details, including their name, email address and professional registration number, to ensure compliance with HPCSA regulations and so that successful completion can be recorded accurately.

Complete the assessment
After reviewing the material, participants complete a short quiz or assessment based on the content.

CPD outcome
is processed
Successful completions are captured and processed for CPD purposes. Where applicable, MedNote submits completions directly to the HPCSA on a regular cycle. For other professional councils, certificates of completion can be issued for learners to self-submit.
